Ricki Weissbach

The founder of Pacific Pearl Dental Hygiene Clinic, Ricki Weissbach, was born and raised in the Okanagan. She has been a registered dental hygienist since 2012 and was certified in Prince George. During the last 7 years she worked in private practice under several amazing dentists (from Fort St. John to our beautiful Island). During this time working in private practice, she noticed a need that was not being met. People want more affordable and easier access to dental hygiene therapy.

A dental hygienist with his/her own practice runs under the CDHBC fee guide which is a bit lower than the fee guide used by most private practice offices. Pacific Pearl Dental Hygiene Clinic is also very flexible for hours in which it is open and takes insurance from all insurance companies. Every patient still needs to find a dentist to do an exam once a year between cleanings as dental hygienists deal with gum health and deposit/stain removal and not decay and other internal tooth issues that can arise.

Ricki became an independent hygiene practitioner to set a new bar on what to expect from your dental hygienist, while making dental hygiene accessible to everyone.

Denise Vanderlee

The newest member of Pacific Pearl Dental Hygiene Clinic!

Denise has known she’s wanted to be a dental hygienist from the age of 16. She took 5 yrs to travel to various countries including Asia, Europe and Australia before completing her hygiene education in Prince George.

Raised in Port Alberni, Denise has been a hygienist between Victoria and Nanaimo for 7 wonderful years. She absolutely loves her job. “There are no two persons that present the same and I love helping everyone based on their individual needs.”

Dental hygiene clinics are relatively new to the dental industry. They can offer a calm yet productive environment in which a person can have their teeth cleaned. Perhaps dental hygiene clinics can be the new “bridge” for better access to dental hygiene care.

Come in and see Denise to have a gentle, thorough cleaning, in a relaxed environment!
